Creating the LiveCD with InfraRecorder PDF Print E-mail

Download the pmagic-x.x.iso.zip file from here and extract the iso from the archive.

To burn the ISO, we are going to use the free & Open Source InfraRecorder. Download either the installer or the zip archive. The zip archive will allow you to just run the program without installing it.

When InfraRecorder opens click the "Write Image" button.

Select the PartedMagic iso file and click "Open".

In the dialog box that opened, you may choose the settings for how to burn the disk. If you don't know what any of the settings mean don't change them and just click "OK".

Your disk is now being burned. Just wait for the process to finish and when completed, the disk will automatically eject.

You are now ready to boot your computer in PartedMagic using the disk you just created.
